It is already known that the quality of a lesson plan determines the quality of instruction. Just as it is crucial to plan excellently, proper implementation cultivates excellence in every detail.
Sharing of experiences as a phase during instruction is intended to check the level of achievement of both subject and language competences by a learner.
Learners mainly share their experiences by answering questions, either orally or in writing, depending on the teacher and the learnt concepts. The teacher should give questions of different levels depending on the class to critically analyze the level of mastery, conceptualization, and application of the learnt knowledge and skills before giving the lesson exercise.
The quality of questions given also indicates the level of learner competence the teacher intends to tap into. During this phase, testing should be individual for effective evaluation.
Consolidation of the learnt concepts is done, emphasizing the key principles, formulas, or important points depending on the content. The teacher should identify misconceptions and correct them among learners.
Precisely, the teacher is evaluating the effectiveness of the methods used, the teaching aids, and the overall learning process. Depending on the findings, the teacher should decide whether to reteach some concepts or proceed to the lesson exercise.
If all the above are perfectly done, it results in excellent performance in the lesson exercise by individual learners, hence academic excellence.
